Wanting to build a shop. Looking at 4' ICF wall with 8' stud wall on top. ICF wall will be below grade
Anyone here used them?

Helped a friend for just a little bit several years ago. Seemed to go as easily as advertised. Haven't asked him about it, but last I knew he was very happy with the end result.

Our basement is made with them. A little pricey but the basement is completely above grade along one long wall and even with several 3x5 windows and french doors the basement never drops below 55 degrees in the winter. (heat turned off)

I've helped build one and two story houses with ICF's.
For a wall, there is nothing but stacking sections, inserting rebar and wiring the rebar. Not terrible easy(a lot of reaching in small spaces) but not really difficult. However, there has to be supports(adjustable metal poles) to secure the forms(supports temp installed at a 45° angle) when pouring the concrete---and blowouts can occur.
A 4' wall is just half a normal wall, the proclivity for blowouts is reduced.
And, of course, footings are required.
