Put me down as an X-Y vise user on my mortiser ... being able to move the wood along the axis of the mortise is a great boon to speed and accuracy ... also perfect for initial setup and repeatability ...

Formerly ... when I read a post and returned to the forum ... the post would then show as the open circle ... indicating  read ... Now ... when I return to the forum ... it still shows as a closed ...

If you can't "soak" it loose … I'd weld a nut on the threads to hold it … you can grind off the weld once the wingnut is loose … Just my 2 cents … Red
