Yeah...but 3 Amp-hour or 5, 8, or 10???
I'd be surprised if you cut much of anything with a 3 Ah battery...but I'd expect better that what you describe if you used a 10 Ah battery. |

On a regular chainsaw, open the oil cap and put it back on before storing. Sometimes that relieves a little pressure.
On pole saws, leaking the oil is a feature. Pretty sure that across brands. |

Unless it's a REALLY special tree veneer buyers aren't interested. If they are "yard trees" they won't be interested...nails are much worse on veneer equipment than they are on sawmills.
