Our team at work had a gift exchange and I made a challenge coin display of Black Cherry.
I forgot to take a picture — I’ll get one later from the prototype.

Don't forget. [Image: raised.gif] We love pictures.

Thanks!

Here's the final result.  I had some small pieces of curly walnut and quilted maple sitting in the corner for several years.  Finally found a use for them!

Finish is blonde shellac and paste wax.

Not much woodworking involved, just drill some holes in a few boards.
Had to buy the uprights, but had the dowels already.  LOML had an idea
from pinterest or somewhere for the grandkids sleepover tonight....

Bedsheets for tent fabric. Cords to hold the uprights in place ( under the
air mattresses ).

LOML ( Grandma ) is out of control?  lol

Very cute. And it helps eliminate the "he's touching me" complaints.

It's been workbench clearing the last week or so as time permits. I got my main bench cleared off, and it's a holding point now as well as my pocket machine and sanding bench being used for temp storage.....again.....

All that stuff came from here,

which used to be my shop desk, which held notes, drawings, etc. In the process of that cabinet getting cluttered up, I started using my Grandfathers old oak rolltop desk that I've intended on restoring for 22 years.....Well, it got covered up. [Image: crazy.gif]

So thats today's workbench project.
