The duct supplier didn't have it in stock so I ended up building the box from some 1/4" thick dry erase board screwed to a frame of 1x2s. Then I taped all the seams with Gorilla duct tape. The dry erase board is super slick and easy to wipe clean. Today two drywallers further boxed it in for me. Check that off my to-do list.
