I spent a few hours cleaning up the new sander last weekend and moving it to it's new home. I also repainted the yellow disc shroud a nice JET beige, actually it's navajo white for the pool fence but it happens to be the same color as what JET uses, go figure. Overall, I think I scored a nice machine for $600. As I said in an earlier post, it is high quality cast iron and the rack and pinion for the tilt works smooth as well as the table height adjustment. Even the underside of the motor platform has been factory painted to prevent rust, not bad for an import. I still need to get a reducer for the shop vac hose, I don't think the DC would appreciate being reduced to 1 1/2". I don't know about you guys, but after researching many photos of older disc sanders on google, I am starting to think they all came out of the same factory, they look identical down to minute details of construction. Whadya think?
