ravioli rolling pin - John Mihich - 05-28-2016

This is the pin that I made for the daughter. Not quite perfect - the ravioli are not 100% square - more of a rectangle.

John, thanks for the photo. You turned it on a lathe, then cut dados for the strips?

Yes. I made a scraper the size of the coves. I left the ends square and built a jig to cut the dadoes I in the blank. I installed the walnut pieces the remounted on the lathe and smooth the whole pin. I sanded up to 600 grit. Really fun project. I will be making 3 more.

I will be doing another one this next week. This time I will take more pics. I was afraid it wasn't going to turn out; I don't do a lot of turning.
