Woodworking/tool sights/destinations in southern Maine? - bennybmn - 03-03-2020

I'm headed to Scarborough Maine next weekend for a baby shower. I know of one YouTube turner who has a shop there, and it got me thinking maybe there are other things I should check out while I'm there (I didn't want to be too stalkerish to the nice YouTube lady). Do you guys know of anything/ Vintage tool stores? Rocklers? Stuff I can't find on Long Island

It's coastal Maine south of Portland, so I'm sure there's generic antique stuff, but not sure about tools. I also think it's well south of Lie-Nielson...

Thanks!

Looks like the Thomas Moser furniture shop is less than an hour away. That would be pretty cool....they give tours Contact page

I don't know how close it will be, but Liberty Tool is well worth a visit.

Not in Maine, but near southern maine is https://thevintagetoolshoppe.com/

Worth a visit, but call ahead to be sure they will be available when you expect to be there.

Thanks all! My buddy who I'm visiting actually lives up in Brunswick, but they're having the shower further south to accommodate more people. Looks like maybe next time I visit him specifically I'll be near more stuff.

I've made some purchases from the vintage tool shoppe and have been very happy.

I'm 20 minutes from Brunswick, hardly a woodworking destination but I do have cold beer. Shoot me a PM if you're thirsty.
