I wouldn't use SYP as it turns hard as a rock as it ages.
If I was to use pine, I would use SPF (spruce, pine, fur) |

Get ya a couple of tanks and a torch kit. Get some flux covered brass rod and learn to braze.
You'll have a torch for cutting and can braze with brass rod. |

I save all pickle juice (Yes, you can also buy it). When the cramps hit at 3 in the morning I hit the juice. Takes about 2 minutes to take affect.
No sense in buying anything if you eat a lot of pick... |
