I'm surprised no one has mentioned that the booth for our own Raney Nelson's Daed Toolworks is in the background (off to the right)!

I was going to but I was overwhelmed by the proximity of the "fine furniture" to the vending machine and I was wondering if the reflection off of the doritos bags was going to prematurely age the finish.
So there isn't a misunderstanding that was a joke, kinda funny, not really funny but kinda. Best I could come up with on a monday morning.

Exactly. It has nothing whatsoever to do with "difficulty of construction" or craftsmanship. It is about a name and limited supply.
As an aside, when Krenov was only making planes at the twilight of his life, he initially sold them on ebay. He was aghast at what they were selling for and immediately began selling them directly at what he considered a reasonable price.

Drawer lock chisels of course! Don't you have a set?

Can anyone recognize the wood species in the round-headed mallet? I was wondering if it is hornbeam.

Hi Mike,
That would be my guess.

I know one thing...I just sent Mr. Becksvoort a check for $5 to get one of his signed portfolios...I can dream at least!
Thanks for sharing the photos, Jeff.
