Very informative list... I got one question what does "IGIT' stand for? I been thinking it's a woodnetter or woodworker or something to that effect...

An updated list, i.e., "List of Acronyms - Updated nn/nn/nn" will be out in a day or two. I've already added about 40 new acronyms and still searching the different posts/threads/forums for additional suggestions/corrections.
I noted that you have been helping everyone on this "acronym" thing and I thank you greatly for it both from myself and those that use it. On that note, where would you suggest I put the new list so as to do the most good? (And this time, I'll try to keep it updated more frequently).

Cause these guys refer to Igit as in " we had an Igit get together" ... more of an adjective.

It isn't an acronym, Joe, it's a word. Trying to backform words into acronyms doesn't do much for the credibility of your list.

I just sat down to my computer today thinking, “Boy, someone should post a list of commonly-used abbreviations around here!” So I started making a list. Looks like you beat me to the punch! Great list! Here are a few that are conspicuous by their absence:
