Christmas Gift Ideas
      #3998034 - 11/25/08 08:00 AM

So what are you all building for Christmas gifts? I am thinking of something quick and easy. My ideas so far are:

1. The Clock in Woodsmith
2. Cutting Board
3. Sconces

I have a 15' x 6" x 1 board of Brazillian Cherry and Maple so I plan to do some type of mix and match with the two types of wood. I am leaning towards a cheese cutting board that has a piece of solid maple in the middle with the cherry on either end. Here is something similar:

What are your ideas? Pls add URLs where possible.

Thanks!

I am building several boxes, one of which is in a thread now.

Also an Arts and crafts umbrella stand. A copy of a Limbert piece.

For my son a guitar stand, and for my wife.....................

Well we will see how much time I have left

2beast,
If you have plans for the guitar stand, where did you get them? Do you have any pics? I was thinking of making one for my son's birthday in February.
Thanks!

I'd like to see what you're doing for a guitar stand, too. I need to make a stand for a washtub bass that I made.

wow that sounds like a neat board. Is it cherry on the ends and maple in between? Or vice-versa?

sorry I just had to say that.
