Does anybody know what a current price is for the Sawstop cabinet saws nowadays? They no longer have price info on their site.
IIRC the industrial saw was ~$4200. I know the professional saw was going to be a bit less; $3500ish maybe?
I'm pondering a cabinet saw to replace my 45 year old Craftsman contractor saw.
After giving this a lot of thought, I think I'm focused on 3HP 10" cabinet saws.
Looks like the options are...
Grizz GO690 at about $1300 (not sure about shipping) PM2000 at about $2600 New Unisaw at $2900
Then the Sawstops.
If somebody can fill me in on the Sawstop pricing it would help me daydream in a factual environment...
Thanks in advance!

I'm considering Steel City, Jet, etc also, I just didn't want to clutter the short list above.

Tom, I don't know the retail price on the Sawstop, but on the website a few weeks ago the had a listed price slightly below $3,000 - I am not sure if that included the fence and rails. IIRC the price was between the PM and the Unisaw prices you have listed.

At the three kilobuck price point I would have to throw in the Grizz G0623X as a serious contender.

Tom,
I bought a SawStop PCS (3 HP cabinet saw) on their "Field Test" program a couple months ago for $2,500 + the extras I bought, i.e. extra brake, dado brake, Industrial Saw mobile base, etc. and my bill delivered was under $3,000 (this deal came with free shipping also). With limited usage I can say it is a very nice table saw.
In my discussions with contacts at SS, their goal was to have this saw available to the general public this summer and to bring it in at less than $3,000. You might want to give them a call - they are very nice and accommodating folks.
Good luck,
Doug

I was doing the same thing - window dreaming. I couldn't figure out what the final price was for a SS with 52" rails and a 3 hp engine. Seems like bad marketing to me. If you make it difficult to figure out, a certain percentage lose interest (me).

the Sawstop PCS is listed at $2900 with a free blade(!) (whoop-i-dee-freakin-doo.)

EDIT:
to be honest, I went to AW Meyer to look at a few saws and they had the Sawstop Contractor and ICS saws on display next to a new Unisaw and a PM2000. I actually kinda thought the build quality was better on the Sawstop Contractor than the PM or the Unisaw. don't take my word for it though, I'm just a registered professional structural engineer, what do I know?

For around $2,000 the Jet Deluxe Xacta is a nice saw. Comes with a riving knife and storage drawer. I've enjoyed mine. Got mine from Amazon with free shipping and two rebates.

I'm guessing for a 52" rail, 3hp, mobile base industrial SS you will be in the 4,800 range with shipping (you pay shipping from SS to your dealer, then you gotta get it home).
