I've decided that due to having to drill at an angle on many of my projects lately I need a new drill press. The one I have (older Grizzly) is okay buy I want something better. Most of the tables I look at tilt but all adjust the same way which is pull a pin or unscrew a bolt then loosen up the big bolt that holds the table at 90 degrees then tighten the big bolt while trying to hold the table at the angle you want.
Can anyone recommend one that doesn't cost a fortune and has an easy table adjustment than that mentioned above?

This looks impressive to me: http://grizzly.com/products/Radial-Drill-Press/G9969
Don't know if it is too expensive or not, but the head rotate looks like it would fit the bill.

The Delt's with the new woodworking tables are the only ones I have seen that are different. I don't have any experience with them.

Weird.... I was just gonna post the same thing. I'm tired of the short spindle stroke on my 12" Delta.
I was just looking at the two Grizzly's for under $300 - but $70 shipping.
I wonder what the specs are on the HD Ridgid DP?

This one cost me $150.
Adjusting the table can be a real b*tch though.

Tim as much I always say to try and find a used drill press, finding one that has a tilting table would be a challenge in this cow town. I'd say save your pennies and up your limit to go for one of the new Delta's. Another option might be to build a jig that hold a vise which rotates, something like this perhaps:

pconroy,
I haven't posted this in SnS or Craigslist yet, but...
I have a G7944 12 Speed Heavy-Duty 14" Floor Drill Press for sale, this one:
Grizzly DP
It would include a mobile base (Shop Fox) and the parts needed to convert it to a bench top DP. I bought it originally as the equivalent bench top model, and then decided to go with floor standing, so I got the parts to convert it to floor standing and assembled it that way.
It's a great DP, I'm only selling it because I've upgraded to the new Delta 20" (which, of course, is only partially assembled at the moment, but if I sell the Grizzly, I'll HAVE to finish the Delta! ).
PM me if you're interested, trying not to hijack this thread or get in trouble with the mods!

That would work but I'm spinning larger diameter Forstner bits into pieces that are too large for that jig to handle. I want something a little more stable.
