I have the infamous Ridgid 14 inch bandsaw and ac tually tuned it up so it works pretty nicely.
Now I need a fence for it.
I saw the Kreg for $107 at Woodcraft, but I know many of you have made your own.
Thanks for sharing!

When I had the ridgid I just made a fence out of plywood that I clamped to the table. Nothing more complicated than an L shape with 2 wedges to keep the L stiff.

I adapted the fence from my old Shopsmith 10ER to use on my Delta BS. I needed to bolt a 1/8 x 1" alum bar to the front and back of the saw, for the fence to clamp to. It works OK. Most compact saw fences could be adapted to a BS. I've thought of making a mini Bies clone, but it would need to have an adjustment to set the fence up for drift. I also have a plywood L shaped fence to clamp to the table for resawing.

Bullethead:
I've posted my BS fence here before. It's cheap, easily adjustable for drift, stays parallel when moved, and locks securely in place. I haven't found anything that I like better.
It is a "T". The cross piece slides against two pan head screws inserted into the existing threaded holes on the front of the BS table. The center piece is the fence. Adjust for drift by screwing one of the pan head screws in or out.
Press the cross piece against the two pan head screws, slide the fence into position, then clamp it to the table. You can use C-clamps, but I built clamps into each end which make it a breeze to use.
You can add a removable tall resaw fence, or build a separate one for resawing.
Click picture for slide show.

I made one, re-using the front rail and slide washer/knob from the stock craftsman fence. The original was hard to adjust for drift and square to the table, so I made independent adjustments for each on mine. The last photo shows the fence tilted to the table. I didn't mess with the drift for a photo because I don't want to have to dial it in again (in the middle of a project).
If you look closely, you'll see the base that clamps to the fence rail, the mid-piece that twists for drift, and an upper piece on the back side of the mid piece that adjusts for square to table (or blade).
Cheers, Andrew

The simplest way is just to make a nice 90 degree fence that can be clamped down in front and in back.

Lonnie, that BS fence idea is just what I have been looking for! Awesome!
I just went down to my shop and built a simple clone (basic t-square only - no resaw fence yet) out of scrap. I had been just clamping a board or resaw fence to the table before this idea.
Will post pic tomorrow if time allows.
