Wow, nice transformation!
I really like the fact that you made it look like "cleaned" rather than new.

Wow nice job, it doesn't even look like the same saw. I think the patina on the handle adds character, and to me the initials don't bother me either. I look at it as part of the history.
Great job and thanks for sharing !

I like it!
Having done my share of those type handles, I know the time and effort you put into it. Each handle and saw blade has it's individual personality and you get to know it well as you work with it and bring it back to being proud again. Sometimes you think it smiles at you for giving it an uplift and a new life. Sharpening it is still another rewarding experience, especially when you put it to wood and it just feels right. I have a Disston No.112 that was in the worse condition of any saw I've ever rehabed. It was given to me from a guy who didn't want to mess with it. It required 7 repairs, some of them were major. It is now one of my favorite saws and it feels just right too.
Great rehab job on yours...

I'm pretty sure Greg bumped it just to remind me that I haven't finished the little backsaw handle yet....

Crap! When it rains it pours, doesn't it!!
Those sawplates are sitting in a prominent area, just waiting their turn. Behind the plane till......and the saw till....and the lathe tool cabinet/ballast project......and the entry bench.....and the wife's writing desk.....and and and - the list doesn't stop!
