Well I am just throwing this out there. Are there any folks in the St. Louis area that would support conning, kidnapping....er, uh hosting one of our saw gurus to the area to give a day long saw sharpening clinic and such for a fee? This time of year BBQ could work for food at my tarr paper shack. My shop is small, and I only have three saw vises. But Ve have vays to make more. Or you could bring your own. Anyway, just a thought. Besides, I need all the help I can get and it is a good meet and greet.

I am always looking for another reason to come to St Louis to watch a Cards game. To get to learn how to sharpen a saw the right way would be a great reason to come. I live a good ways away, but if you can get some folks to do this, I'm in.

Ron, sign me up. I also have a saw vise and a saw set and several dull saws. Oh and guys, I have been to Ron's "tarr paper shack", he's way too modest. Ron has a very nice shop indeed!

I second Slav's idea to have Daryl do it. I attended one he did years ago and it was a revelation. He will play hard-to- get though. Don't count on it. He is from down your way, but you probably know that.

I take it, it is no where near Cental Florida either .
Would love for something like that around here, good luck sounds like it would be a grand time.

WELL we're gonna have to find an instructor willing to teach an old dog or two for a reasonable fee and some good ole BBQ, pork steaks, burgers, whatever. Daryl is pretty tied up at the moment, I think. I even got permission from "the boss lady". My place is 30 to 40 min. NE of St. Louis if any one knows of someone else.
