Al,
Thanks again for organizing the hangout on Google+.. IMHO it is the best way to have a group discussion on inner-tubes these days.

Thank YOU for participating, Scott!

In case you have not yet watched the video, Scott is a key guy. He worked on the web site, and organized content. The entire team contributes in one way or another, but Scott has done amazing work with web site-related "stuff" to make it happen. Congratulations, Scott!

Al,
Remember when we were in grade school and were told about the future and we'd have flying cars and television phones? Well it turns out flying cars require to much energy but we do have the TV phones. What seemed like a great idea then in reality isn't so great. Nobody wants to have to put on make up and clean the house to answer the phone. In fact we have gone in the opposite direction with text messaging because then you don't even have to speak to the person.

The only way video conferencing would make sense is if there is one person everyone is interested in and they are leading the group. For example if Rob Millard was doing a hammer veneer demo or Rick Cristopherson was showing the latest Festool attachment maybe ......

If it's just a bunch of us debating on how to best age Cherry, count me out.

Excellent point! Well, maybe we should try once, and see how it turns out. It might turn into a thread killer. If it does, I promise not to bring it up again

Excellent point, Richard!

Any takers, to lead discussion from their shop, while doing a demo in real time, and also taking questions from participants?

How about suggestions from other members for stuff they'd like to see?

Joe Grout setting jointer knives with a stick?

I wonder how many members have a webcam, microphone and earphones? How many have a Google+ account? I think we can count out the ones who haven't figured out how to post a picture. Maybe we could just play Call of Duty instead!

Just curious, not complaining.

Instead of reposting your blog on WoodNet, why not just provide a link?

Makes perfect sense to me. Saves on this websites drive space.
