Anyone use a stock feeder tilt away bracket? I see Comatic has one and I know Felder makes some for their specific tools. Anyone using one? Have any pictures of them in use by chance?

I haven't heard of these brackets before, they look great.
My feeder limits my maximum rip saw cut to 14 5/8". I keep a chain fall over that saw, and hoist the feeder up when it's in the way.

I was think of mounting a stand on my saw and on my jointer. Not that I need them but I have the extra stands now. Comatic has a bracket that is called a FP01 flipper. It is made for their heavy duty feeders and seems to be spring assisted for lifting them back up. I think I am going to order one to try out.

Mike, I think you weld ?
Why not make one and install a pneumatic piston or something cool ? Put a button in a convenient spot and simply push it to raise the feeder.

Mike - let us (me) know how it works out. My feeder is a hernia-inducing 150#..it would be nice to swing it out of the way for 95% of its life.

Its here Mark. Weighs about 30lbs or more and has a huge spring preloaded. I have to mount it before I can try it out as it needs the weight of the feeder in order to open up. It is a vertical mount and has four bolts in the inside plate to mount to your tool. Then the tilt mechanism has 2 bolts (you can see the yellow in the drawing above) to bolt it in the up position for use and there is also a set pin. Take out those two bolts and it will tilt down once you lift the set pin.
I will get some actual pictures vs the terrible drawing above.

Found it on ebay - it was called a comatic flipper. Accura tools sold it to me. Comatic also gave me a quote but it was the same price pretty much.

I had this idea of mounting it to my saw with some Unistrut to the rail. That is not a solid enough mount. This setup need someting solid to mount to - something with some mass.
That being side the flipper works great. Very doable with the 1hp 3 wheeler I tested with it. OMG - I can see the issues with a bracket with no springs!!!!
Do not mount this with unistrut
I think I may save this for the days with another building or sell it with an extra stand and make the money back on the extra stands I bought. This setup is the way to go I am betting if you have a euro combo machine/saw/or shaper and need a tilt bracket. With a NA style saw it will take some thinking to mount it around the tables.
