Well won't do that again. Ordered two bits and entered the required code and all the other stuff. Paid with cc. Confirming email showed no discout price so had to send them an email. They did promptly correct the price. Bits list price seemed high but with discount.... Received one bit today, other bit was oversubscribed, ok no problem with that. looked at invoice. With $6.99 S&H total for the 1 bit was $16.86. Could have got it for $14.03 plus free shipping through my Amazon Prime so net, net no deal, cost me $3.00 more. I'll take the hit as should have researched a little better. Figured the shipping spread across 2 bits and just getting one was the sweet deal killer.
Usually I use Holbren and buy Whiteside but wanted the one Freud bit I didn't get to fit a custom jig I use.
It is what it was.

I hear ya. Most of the time these so called sales from almost any company aren't really any better of a deal than could be had elsewhere any day of the week. To me, any sale that advertises a % off of list send up a red flag as nothing ever sells for list price.

The prices were decent, but you really only got a good deal if you bought a bunch of bits or some of the bigger ones.

I ordered two bits on their 800 line, the lady who took my order quoted me the regular price. She didn't seem aware of the half price deal, after I corrected her then she used the prices I had on their web site. Freud has high quality stuff, but I've got several Grizzly shaper cutters and a few router bits that seem to hold up really good. Too often we get stuck on a brand that is good, but there may be one just as good or even better at a like or lower cost. The shipping is the killer anymore.

I did the same thing, well almost. I put several bits in the shopping cart, not really ones I needed, but just some extras. The shipping was higher than I wanted to pay so I emptied the cart and did not buy anythning at all.
Having said that, Peachtree usually has good prices, esp. with their promotions. But you can get router bits elsewhere at a similar price for this sale price.
