New boiler ignition failure
      #6601994 - 12/17/13 06:19 PM

Our Peerless Purefire boiler has been running well for about 9 months now. Yesterday my wife complained of a tepid shower which, with the indirect, hasn't been an issue since the new install. When I looked at the boiler there was an error message that said "ignition failed." I hit the reset button and it failed again, but then fired. Should I be concerned? Or is it just one of those things that happens? It's been running fine since then.

Disposable income? Is that what I pour into the house?

Probably time to clean the flame sensor. Shoot me a link to the manual and I'll check a couple things later.

"He is not worthy to live at all, that for feare, or danger of death, shunneth his countries service, and his owne honour: seeing death is inevitable and fame of vertue imortall." - Sir Humphrey Gilbert circa 1576.

There should be a whole section about yearly cleaning of the interior of that boiler in the installation manual. IIRC from the class I took on a similar product it needs to be performed before each winter start up or in your case with the indirect, each 6 months or so. Should be on page 65 and 66, check it out.
