I've been double bagging for years, with a bit of a twist...I keep reusing the original heavy gauge bag on the outside, using a trash can liner inside, not unlike a tube in a tire...not always easy to find the large clear trash bags, but they can be found...

ULINE has HD clear I've been using for a few years. its about $2.50/bag after shipping. 24 bags can last a long time.
