My favorite finish - bar none is Shellac though if the piece doesn't need to be 'durable' or water resistant. If it's just a shelf piece, shellac is incredible both for it's warmth and buffing qualities. Plus, it's probably the easiest finish to repair of all should the need require - AND it's edible should a kid go and chew on it. Oh, and there is no restrictions on applying indoors Just alchohol and it evaporates nearly as fast as lacquer. Michael -------------------- With each new day, celebrate life.
