III - 01-04-2012 WOW..I strive to be as good as you are. Someday I will make my own bench like that, but it seems daunting when I see the skills that many of you have. Beautiful bench and one of the best writeups I have had the pleasure of reading. Re: A long time ago, in a basement far, far away - shavingCanuck - 01-05-2012 Thanks for the bump. Funny how life gets in the way of what you'd like to do. Between kids, house renos and extra-ciricular stuff there generally isn't alot of time around here in the summer. Hopefully I'll carve some out this winter and get back to using that bench. I've got plans to make another joinery/carving bench in the near future using the maple I still have from my first attempt. Does anyone know of anyone that has incorporated the Veritas carving top into a bigger bench. I'm wondering how that would work out. Thanks Andy Re: A long time ago, in a basement far, far away - dlgWoodWork - 01-02-2013 Bump for a nice workbench build along with some really nice tips.
