This is something I do for a friend. She paints them and sells them at craft shows. Usually about a hundred a year. There's 36 here.

Wow, a hundred! Well you are almost 1/3 the way done. I am curious about the holes around the edge. What are they for? Ken

I'm guessing they're stacked and cut with a scrollsaw.
