Renaissance Micro Crystalline wax - Bob Atchison - 02-24-2016

Does anyone use it?

Do you apply it on or off the lathe?

Tips or advice?

Bob

I like it. I do not know why I do not use it all the time. I put it on while it is on the lathe still and coat it nicely and then turn it up to 200 rpm or so to work it in.
I am still testing it so see how I like it even after 2 years. I want to see how it lasts and feels after a long time.

Also I got the big container and would get the smaller one since it lasts a lot time.

I use it on occasion. It is a wax designed to hide fingerprints, not so much to add shine. It is used a lot in museums or art shows.

I use it, but not as the final wax coat. I often use it on the inside of turned boxes vs. putting on an oil finish. All by hand. It pays to let the stuff dry before buffing it out. For exterior wax finishes on bowls and platters, I use the carnauba wax that came with my Beall buffs.
