Lie-Nielsen # 9 1/2 No longer offered**SOLD** - joemac - 11-18-2016 I have a new and as unused Lie Nielsen # 9 1/2 plane Specifically, the 9-1/2 block plane is the regular angle (as opposed to the low angle) block plane with the adjustable mouth.   As you can see this plane is unmarked Unmarked except for one thing:  I met Thomas at a show and he kindly signed this plane for my collection. The adjustable mouth on this plane allows you to easily bring the throat in tight when working to remove extremely thin shavings, supporting the wood to prevent tear out. Just as easily, the mouth can be opened up allowing a thicker, less refined shaving fit through.  Lie Nielsen no longer lists this plane for sale.  To have an as new, retired, Lie Nielsen plane that was signed by Thomas himself is an offer you do not see every day.  ****SOLD****
