Mystery Chipbreaker on Stanley 113 - HomerLee - 12-08-2016 I'm preparing to list some more old planes in S&S. One of the Compass Planes, a Stanley 113, will be listed for parts due to missing cast handle and a mysterious Chip breaker. It does not fit the iron right (iron appears correct); It has a round hole where the screw should go. The screw and iron are identical to the complete 113 LOML keeps on the bookshelf. Anyway here is a picture of the cap iron: Anyone know what it came from? This cap will not allow for the blade to be adjusted correctly.   Thanks. It is a little different than the one thought to be a type one by most fo1k. The plane does not have the patent date on the steel dovetail piece. I'm always amazed at the knowledge available on this site. RE: Mystery Chipbreaker on Stanley 113 - HomerLee - 01-25-2017 Arlin, When you receive the #113 look at the pictures "Lightwood" posted and you can see the part needed to fit the blade to the chip breaker. Should be easy to make. If you follow the link he posted you can also see the handle.
