I like it and wish I had a source for cherry here but there is none.

I am thinking it might look better with a little bit of stone inlay or other inlay but that is JMO

I've never tried adding stone to my work yet but would like to try pyrography  to a few pieces.

That is a great idea about the burning and did not think of it.  Hope to see some of your pyrography in the future
