modifying an old wood jointer - overland - 02-09-2018 I had an old wooden jointer with a loose handle. So, just to experiment, I removed the handle, sliced off a part of the body, cut a new mortise, and made a razee plane. I also flattened the sole using my No. 8 Stanley and bedded a short length of brass rod for a strike button. It didn't take too long.
