Garden work inspired an eggbeater handle 'fix' - C. in Indy - 06-12-2018

Yep,

My favorite old eggbeater drill has a handle-compartment threaded cap that likes to come loose.

Then I was in the yard, and saw this:

Couple days later, I fitted my handle-cap with a few thicknesses of foam-sheeting that I had cut into little traced circles.   It stays put now!

Do we get a picture of the other part. With water would be pretty cool.

Have used a couple wraps of Teflon tape, the kind plumbers use......

Maybe there is a way to use the male end, set it inside the handle, and thread the cap to it?    And allow just a slim brass ring to show?
