Lazarus Jack Plane - Lazarus13 - 06-26-2018

It's been awhile since I've made a jack plane.  I love the results... but, geez.  I need to train a monkey to flatten them.  This one has a 1 1/8'' blade and 15'' sole.  In stainless and East Indian Rosewood.

RE: Lazarus Jack Plane - bandit571 - 06-27-2018

Shavings?   Cambered edge?  Looks fancy, does it do it's job as a Jack?

RE: Lazarus Jack Plane - hbmcc - 06-27-2018

Do you mean 2-1/8" blade? The perspective makes it appear larger than 1-1/8.

It's a sweet looking machine full of purpose. Thanks for showing us!

RE: Lazarus Jack Plane - gov.cheese - 06-27-2018

Incredible.........

RE: Lazarus Jack Plane - AHill - 06-27-2018

Looks like a real best. How much does it weigh?

RE: Lazarus Jack Plane - DCM - 06-27-2018

& I bet it performs just as good as it looks

I send my planes out with flat, straight bevels.  No camber.  No micro bevels.  I don't presume to know what my costumers' preferences are.  Also... I presume that this plane is going to be used as a large smoother.  It doesn't make sense to use such a pricey tool to hog material.
