Drilled well, pump in the house. It has set without use for about 4 years.
What would one expect when the pump is primed and power up?
The same question applies to the septic? Except it will not be primed, just liquid applied?

I don't see any problems with the well not powering up, as long as the piping above ground hasn't froze due to cold weather.

The pump and house plumbing was drained. How well it was drained? We shall see

I bet water is going to come out of pipes. Maybe where you want, maybe not. Pump seals may give grief, depends on the water quality, condition at shutdown and how well it was drained.

The leach field should not be a problem. Then you stopped using the septic system the leach field just dried up. The septic tank(s) may have some firm sludge on the bottom but should work just fine. The well pump must be primed before start up or you'll chance damaging the impeller. There may or not be a check valve at the bottom of the pipe in the well. That might have to be filled if the well is deep. Don't run the pump for very long if no water comes out. sometimes you have to prime the pump several times to get it working again, sometimes just turn it on and it works.

You might want to look at a product like Rid X or any enzyme starter to heat up the septic tank. The old septic installers used to throw a whole chicken into the tank when new to get things started.

Our old installers ate those chickens for dinner while on the job. They didn't waste anything.

Old timer told us to flush big chunks of chicken skin/fat and yeast down toilet when we moved to the farm years ago, it had been sitting empty for about 7 years. Never had a problem in 20 years we lived there.....thankfully.
