So how did you do it and what did you learn? Looks like a nice square cut and more vertical then horizontal.

And I'm in the middle of a huge band sawing project. Working on all those logs to planks. I felt my stomach tighten when I saw that.

Got my thumb once pushing something through the blade. Only power tool that has ever bit me. Been 20 some years ago.
Guess i am comfortable enough with the bandsaw that I let my guard down.

Sorry to hear...Please make sure your tetanus shots are up to date. Any infections in the hand are important to get addressed quickly.
