Pocket rule - Peter Tremblay - 02-26-2019

I have and use a Lee Valley pocket rule constantly in the shop.

My one issue is that one side is Metric and one side is imperial and the back has a conversion chat which I've never used.  Does anyone make a similar sized rule that is imperial on all sides?

I love the 6" x 1/2" size as easy to slip into an apron pocket.

Fr. Peter:  I'll make a note (my memory is chit lately) for me check when I get home tonight, in the bunch of stuff from a machinists chest where I got the dividers I just posted in the S&S I might have gotten a 6"one of those Starretts in a 1/2" width so you could still use the clip.

Excellent taste. When you want to measure ice to the nearest .010", nothing beats the the C305R.

I don't know why but the link that I included was not correct.

Here is the one that I'm looking at

Highland Woodworking sells basically the same thing as the Starrett 6" rule with 1/4", 1/8", 1/16", and 1/32" scales for a measly $6.99. I bought a couple. Unlike the Starrett rule, it doesn't have the graduations on the end. They also offer a flexible version with the end graduations for $4.99.

I love that price and I hate to get fussy but that rule is 3/4" wide.

I am looking for one that is 1/2" wide and can easily fit into the pencil slot of my shop apron.

Got mine at a hardware store (Ace) near me, it was just a few bucks.

I lose it about once a year, but after a week or two it shows up.

It loves me.
