Still, if you have to recoat within a short window without sanding, I would not call it 100% burn in.

There are other coatings that can be recoated within narrow windows, and are not considered to burn in.

The question that sparked this was about repair. Repairs are most commonly made after the piece has been put in use. Long past the burn in window for this product. For most repairs, WB lacquer is no different than poly. Sand and recoat the entire piece.
