Bandsaw drift demonstration - Ohio Mike - 04-09-2019

I just watched this demonstration of bandsaw drift.

He makes a cut with a good blade and gets no drift whatsoever.

Then he purposely dulls the teeth on one side of the blade and tries the cut again.

Just rub the other side and now the blade is dull on both sides and will run true again.

That blade sure dulled quickly and easily.

I thought so too.  Use your bandsaw to cut curves with a radius that is too tight for the blade and now your fence needs realignment.

You called it, spot on!

In this weeks video he experiments with dulling the opposite side of the blade in an attempt to cancel out the drift.
