What type of temporary heat is used on construction sites in your area, torpedo heaters are the norm in the midwest. Roly

Midwest here. Propane convection heaters (no noise) are common. 20 and 30# cylinders. Something easy to pack around, easy to have filled or get refills.

Vented. No one ends up with CO accumulations.

Layered heat. Tshirt, shirt, jacket, wind breaker coat with hood, cap or hat and wind breaker pants- move around a lot. And coffee.
Doesn't really get that cold here if the wind isn't blowing, so your usually down to just a jacket as the day goes on and some afternoons you're sweating.
