Need to replace remote switch for Vicmarc 300 lather - EightFingers - 07-26-2021

The current one fell apart. Both buttons have a delicate plastic part that broke off, both the stop and start buttons broke within a week of each other.
I googled the manufacturer ( Advance Controls ) with the part number ( A900/R300 ) and got nothing. I called Craft Supplies where I bought the lathe and I’m having a difficult time getting a tech.
I don’t need the remote with the speed control, just the on/off.
Any ideas for an aftermarket part?
I’m thinking about calling the VFD manufacturer.

First Craft Supplies tech I spoke with couldn’t help and referred me to another tech that didn’t call back.
The other three companies want to sell the entire remote box that’s almost $300.

Sad! (the quality of the tech support, that is)

Unless contacting Vicmarc direct is more productive, you might try asking in power tools if anyone has a source for the switches by switch manufacturer and number stamped on the switch.

Are these the switches in the remote or the ones in the lathe body?

This the remote on/off switch. I can still use the lathe with it’s on board switches.

This do you any good?

There's a link to Amazon there, too, but they don't seem to list Advance Controls as a manufacturer.

Your lead led me to find the almost exact same switch, same body everything. It’s on eBay for $8 and $2.50 shipping.

Naturally, made in China, but for about $10.50.

I haven’t been on eBay for years, I hope I can reactivate my account.
Here’s the link to the switch:

That sounds like potentially good news.

Please let us know how it works out.

Got the new switch yesterday and installed it today. The wiring was different from the original, but I got it figured out.
