Hinge Question - Ridgeway - 04-23-2024

I am making a card table with a circular top approx. 33" in diameter and 7/8" thick.  The top will be cut down the middle and fold over on itself (rather than down).  So when the table is open, the hinges will be visible and flush with the surface.

Is there a rule of thumb for the size of the hinges?  Also, any recommendation on brands?

Why not Soss hinges?
Are you referring to butler's tray hinges?

I like the looks of the captain's table hinge, also called, butler's table hinge.  Brusso has top line brass hinges, of course you pay extra for the name.

Yep -- I think a Butler's Hinge is what I am looking for.  The more I think about it, size should not be a big deal.  I will have swivel legs providing support, so the hinges will not have much load at all.

Thanks all
