Do you find the wooden boxes are good at fending off rust?

That would depend on the wood itself...

Case has been stained inside and out..
[attachment=53571]
Then a coat of warm Gloss Poly on just the outside..
[attachment=53572]
Needed a place to hang this...so..
[attachment=53573]
I cleared off this space....with the items that were sitting here, being moved to the edge of the Tool Cabinet's Left Door..
[attachment=53574]

There was a "problem" though...the Framer's Mortise Chisel was sitting too low, and would not let the case's door open or close..we have ways...
I added a place for the end of the chisel to stop at...and not rattle around...

Then 2 pilot holes to hang the case up...MK 4 EyeBalls to set for plumb...and..
[attachment=53575]
You can also see the Stop/Rest for that HUGE chisel...Close the Case's door..
[attachment=53576]
Then test to see IF the Tool Cabinet Door can open at least 90 degrees...without banging into the Chisel case's side..
[attachment=53577]
Seems to do the job...so, close things up...

And call it a day....thanks for looking in!

Nice build thread. Thanks.

How do you access the chisels that are not on the door?

Also, that line of grinders/sanders looks interesting. Do you have them on mobility stands?

The chisels not on the door have a "keeper" that swings out..
[attachment=53579]
That is held closed by a shop made Thumbscrew....unscrew the bolt, keeper will swing open, I select a chisel or 2, then close the Keeper back up

H-F 6" Disc & 36" beltsander  machine just sits in the same tabletop as the Tool Cabinet does...The Cummins/Mack Grinder sits on a shelf that runs the width/length of that Tabletop...

Shop does NOT have the space available for a roll-around cart...

Thanks for the additional info. Much appreciated.
