they do lose their grip - i have the 6" sander and have replaced the pad 2x's - mine was about $50 and an easy swap. jerry

Going too fast on a jointer will create scallops-no matter how sharp the blades. Just go slow and steady.

2 for me - mm16 - with 1" carbide blade for resawing and a delta 14" with a 3/8 blade for almost everything else. jerry
