I cut some 1x6's in half safely, and planed each half down to 1/8"
Worked like a charm on that front.

Well, I gave it a shot. All glued up and now to let it set for a while. Fingers crossed!
The laminating process was actually a lot of fun; I really enjoyed it. |

John, that arch I'm working with is nothing more than sheetrock over wood! No masonry work for me, at least not on this job!

I figured laminating pieces together was probably going to be the most likely way. At the same time, I don't mind if there are joints that can be seen if I cut the pieces in a fashion... |
