Thanks for the advice, it is appreciated. Reportedly, the chair was purchased in the mid 1960s and made by Heywood Wakefield.

I repaired it this morning, 2x6 on each side, construction adhesive and structural screws.  The sag is gone.   Thank you for the advice. chris.

I want to add that it is not too complicated to take down one cabinet and rehang higher. ... unless there is something above the upper cabinet.

Make another (flatter) refrigerator door bracket.  Why does it need such a high offset?

Get a shorter fridge.  Move the too tall one to the utility room, fill it with drinks.  Every home needs two refrigerators. :yes:

Wood glue or construction adhesive?  And thank you for all the advice, it is appreciated! FTR, it's on a short hip, I don't think there will be much jacking force needed to bring it back in line...
