Definitely not sharp, a soak in citric acid will make sharper, but will not replace the steel rubbed off those points. Will never cut as well as a new one, but will cut pretty smooth, so a good last u... |

Dragon's Blood resin in alcohol was traditionally used to give a red colour like mahogany. Google it for many old texts on staining. Apparently works very well on beech |
