MDF is not a great choice for possible future water leaks. Get plywood with the smoothest finish layer. That makes painting easier. Prime and coat both sides, as was said.

Totally agree with Holmes on the floor drain, etc. But as I pointed out earlier, a new install should include checking the strength of the floor structure . Some of Cooler's ideas are good as well.

We dealt with Renewal by Anderson and the installers were Anderson employees. When we had the Marvin windows installed, the hired subs who made a number of mistakes.
