Just wondering why you want to cut it diagonally? Doesn't that in effect produce a slab with end grain fibers exposed or is that what you want?

Nice guy, but IMO a wood butcher. Some of the most beautiful woods turned into some of the most ugly pieces. Admitedly it's been a while since I watched him maybe he has improved, I certainly hope so....
