I have used Strobes, when I worked on Diesel Truck/ Transport Reefers. Pretty simple very accurate. Don't own one, used to borrow one from a vendor that did our starters, pumps rebuild etc...

Custom Counter top , cabinet shops maybe? Seems like a piece that size would be almost Scrap. Try Craigslist, materials. Good Luck.

Hmmmm, so my MDF Strop was better? Did not consider using Hardwood. So many different ways to attack this. Thanks to all for a lively discussion.

3m Spray adhesive does the trick, mineral spirits cleans up the plate.[br]Price is Right.

I think the answer is work on the flat side. I don't use My Serrated Blade because I don't want to sharpen it. Did you try Leatherman Site for info? Maybe FAQ?
