I had left a gallon jar of Evapo Rust outside all winter! I called the company and they indicated it would be good to just add hot water!
It is working like new! I'm truly an amazed satisfied customer!

Why did you have to add hot water?

Maybe to bring it up to room temperature?
We used to make hard cider, when I lived in a house of crazies in Ann Arbor, by leaving cider on the front porch. When the sun hit, it would unfreeze just enough for the little fermenting fairies to do their thing, and the cold cycles kept it from going too far.
Sure took a long time to thaw, though, at least when we were watching it.

Yabbut it may not get cold enough over there in Lake County. Barely does here on the coast, although my tastes have moved upmarket some over the years, so I don't know how well the porch fermentation would work.

Hot water dissolves things better than cold water...
