Background: my brother and I were assembling/rebuilding a big swing set for a mutual friend. We had various construction tools lying around.

The conversation is between my daughter and our friend's son, both about 7/8 years old.

Him: [pointing to circular saw] I like THAT saw!

Her: I have my own hand saw.

Him: But that's a lot slower.

Her: No, not if you do it right!

I think my daughter has been listening to me more than I think. I've created a hand-tool snob!

That is so awesome. I can’t even count how many ways that is awesome.
Hail St. Roy, Full of Grace, The Schwarz is with thee.
Blessed art thou among woodworkers, and blessed is the fruit of thy saw, dovetails.
Holy St. Roy, Master of Chisels, pray for us sharpeners now, and at the hour of planing.
Amen.

I had the exact same conversation with my neighbor last weekend.

She's on the right path.
